1. La Grande Bastide, covering an area of almost 10 acres, is completely enclosed and has automatic gates with an access code;

2. The entrance road is lined with plants and trees. There are plenty of shaded parking spaces with access reserved exclusively for our clients ;

3. The swimming pool (6 meters by 12 meters, or approximately 20 feet by 40 feet) is equipped with a rolling cover, conforming to the new French security regulations for swimming pools;

4. The perfumed rose garden, the aromatic plant garden (100 varieties), the fruit and olive tree orchard, the wood with oak and pine trees……..a place of dreams and relaxation ;

5. Not far from the estate (at about 1.2 miles) is the well-known Colorado Provençal. Those who like walking will discover the delights of the beautiful country-side typical of the Provence Region;

6. The famous Colorado Adventure (junior and adult levels) will be an unforgettable experience and well-appreciated by all the family ;

7. Those who like cycling will be happy. There is the possibility of renting cycles at Apt (at reasonable prices and with guaranteed service). Those who want to bring their own more expensive cycles will have the peace of mind of being able to leave them in a secure place;

8. The region is well-known for its clear skies, and star watching is an activity which is greatly appreciated by adults and children. At Largarde (15 km, or just over 9 miles from La Grande Bastide) is situated an observatory which is open all year long;

9. La Grande Bastide is about 1 km or 0.6 miles from the village of Rustrel.

In this village there is a bakery which makes good bread and croissants (made in a traditional oven); there is also a post office and two bar-restaurants which are hospitable and sympathetic;

10. . For shopping, we go to Apt (at 8 km or about 5 miles), where there are lots of specialized shops and also several major supermarkets such as Intermarché, Leclerc et Atac. ;

11. Also at Apt, there are two interesting outside markets. On Tuesday morning there is the peasant market, and on Saturday morning, there is the famous general market of Apt which attracts lots of visitors...

12. There are many summer festivals in the surrounding area including Apt and neighboring villages (Gorde, Saint Saturinin, Ménèrbe, Avignon, etc.)
